CIC PhotoSchool

The PhotoSchool presents its complete educational programme and facilities, now expanded to a completely renewed space on the 3rd floor of our building in Downtown Cairo!

CIC PhotoSchool’s mission is not only to provide technical training, but also to engage our students in broader ideas of artistic practice, career possibilities, and developing critical discourse on visual culture. We aim to do this through offering strategised photography curricula with artistic, theoretical, and career-based options, in the context of a vibrant community.

In addition to our library and video-library, the PhotoSchool features a studio space with professional lighting equipment, a new and larger darkroom, and is opening a brand new digital lab for printing and scanning. Check out the facility page for more details on our facilities.

The Curriculum is conceived to help you gain confidence with your camera, and discover your vision. It constitutes a serious and personalized learning path that hones your practice, covering all bases of digital SLR photography and preparing you for the steps you want to take next.

The Curriculum presents a flexible structure with a minimum of two foundational mandatory classes to be followed by an additional specialty course of your own choice.
